Capital Communications buys land to build 10th branch office

Capital Communications Federal Credit Union paid $500,000 for the three parcels of land on which it is building its 10th branch office.

The Colonie, N.Y. credit union purchased the land, at the intersection of Interstate 787 and Ontario St. in Cohoes, from the city of Cohoes, the New York State Department of Transportation and an individual named James Braman. Capital Communications was represented in the transaction by Conley Associates' of Albany.

Paula Stopera, CEO of Capital Communications, said the foundation has been laid for the new office, which is expected to open in early April.
